We spent one night and two days at the Inn with our three teenage children (we had two rooms) and it was just fantastic. The Inn and the innkeepers are so welcoming and the place is clean, pretty and comfortable. The rooms are all completely updated with very high quality new mattresses and sheets, immaculate new bathrooms and sweet toiletries made for the Inn by a local craftswoman. The grounds are lovely and perfect for sitting (or swinging) outside. There's a porch swing, and a not-to-be-missed "flying saucer" complete with pillows hanging from a huge black walnut tree behind the house. Exploring the battlefield or any of the other local attractions is so easy from home base here. And of course it's a Bed and Breakfast, so I must mention that breakfast was delicious -- homemade bread, hearty egg dishes and (if you want) healthy yogurt and granola!

This was a one-of-a-kind experience in a beautiful home with the most hospitable hosts I have yet to experience in my travels. Will & Miriam are a warm, kind and personable couple. It was apparent Miriam is both an exceptional host and and loves what she does. She has certainly found her calling. The attention to detail and personal touches made this such a pleasant weekend visit. It was my fiance's first stay in a B&B and it definitely set the bar. The delicious aromas from the kitchen, the decor of the rooms and overall comfort made me feel like a friend visiting another friend in their home. The Inn balances privacy with a more social atmosphere. We both swore the nights were longer here it was so comfortable. I hope to return but will surely recommend it to others. Thank you so much!

My fiancee and I stayed here for one night, wished we had been staying longer. The house and grounds are beautiful, our room was surprisingly spacious (we were in the Potomac suite), the owners are both genuinely lovely people who are fun to talk to and who have good recommendations for the local area, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! On top of all of that, the price is great for the quality of experience and especially compared to some other places in the general vicinity. Definitely set the bar for what we now look for in a B&B.

Our stay at the Inn at Antietam was amazing! Will and Mariam were so friendly and welcoming and the service was perfect. They recommended great places to visit on our stay. Everything was well maintained and the food was great! We even got to take home leftover banana bread that weren't able to finish. We stayed in the Potmac Suite and it was very comfortable and we could adjust our rooms temperature with the window unit that was in addition to the central air. Overall we would come back in a heartbeat! Highly recommended!!!!!

I stayed at The Inn at Antietam for the JFK 50 Miler race. It was my first bed and breakfast experience, and it was great! The Inn was full of other runners, which I thought was pretty neat...we were all walking a bit slowly the next morning :) I was traveling with my parents and reserved the Capitol Suite and Federal Room. That combo was pretty perfect, as I had a separate bedroom from my parents with a shared bathroom in between them. Miriam and William were so friendly and made a delicious breakfast! They even came up with a special pre-race breakfast for the runners. The location of the Inn was also great, both for touring the battlefield the day before, and for getting to and from the race. Overall, we had a great experience.
