From the West Virginia side of the Potomac, Ferry Hill Plantation stands alone on a hill across the river. I have not been inside as it was closed the day we drove there, but would love to see the inside and find out more about it's historic background.
Closed when we visited. National Park Service dial up mobile access was confusing at first. Limited signage.
